Vegan Runners UK organiseert een weekend waar uiteraard ook internationale Vegan Runners welkom zijn. Bij de editie 2017 waren 180 vegan runners aanwezig. Wees er snel bij als je ook mee wilt!
VRUK Big Brighton Weekend Fri 16th – Sunday 18th November 2018 - VERY ROUGH OUTLINE

Friday 16th Nov YHA is open for VR baggage storage ALL day, check-in from 2pm
Evening Social: Bombay Aloo All-Vegan All you can eat buffet, £6.90. We have 40 seats reserved upstairs., option of 30 more downstairs.
Sat 17th Nov YHA is open for baggage storage ALL day, check-in from 2pm.
Parkrun Takeover (over 100 VRs, plus volunteers in 2017). *Details to follow but may include veg oil -powered chartered bus from YHA to parkrun and back, possible pick-ups en’route. The parkruns under consideration are both less than 3 miles from YHA. VRUK Big Breakfast/brunch * Details TBC but may be all under one roof …..all 100+ of us!
Afternoon: Nothing planned (yet!!). * Discounts offered to VRUK in most vegan outlets in the cities ‘Vegan Quarter’, probably a discount voucher card in your race pack. i360, zip wire, air-hockey on the pier, xmas lights, Royal Palace, general mooching and munching, maps available (SAE to 4 Lynden Court Brighton BN1 6SU)
Evening: VRUK pasta party / pre-race social night. Self-serve wholesome food buffet, music, raffle etc. at Cowley Club, Brighton’s oldest all-vegan social club (as per 2017)
Sun 18th Nov YHA are setting aside a dorm room for VRUK to leave bags in, and to shower in after the race. (Normal checkout is 10am)
8.00am VRUK Race-base opens. Concorde2 Club. Brighton’s #1 live music venue. It is 300m from the start/finish line on Maderia Drive. Kit etc can be left here. Spectators can watch from here. Greek Vegan catering van will be available.
9.30am Race start. Flat course. Out towards Hove, past The Grand Hotel, returning along the iconic prom, again past The Grand Hotel, back into Maderia Drive, past Concorde2 Club (masses of cheering VR support), 180 degree final turn, into the final 800metres, passing Concorde2 again. VR’s own George P will have his Greek Vegan catering van on hand. VR pace groups for 45 mins – 1 hour. Post-race refreshments and bar. Music. Awards presentation (expect lots of PBs, and great things from our VR teams!!) 12.00pm Race-base closes.
Brighton Vegan Festival. The Grand Hotel. This event runs from about 11am, organised by VRUK member (and former Chairperson) Kerri Turner. What a nice way to end your weekend in Brighton – and to support Kerri’s animal sanctuary charity – Farplace. Vegan Runners will have a stall at the festival. This is approx. 10 min walk from Race-base.

These rooms will stay reserved for VRUK for two weeks. Prices are PER ROOM
The yellow columns are the for FRI , SAT, and SUN (Col 4 = total for 3 nights, Col 5 = ave cost per night)

and use your five-digit registration number, let Lee EM that you want to be allocated with the rest of the VRUK group.
